Harbour View Guest House

Harbour View Guest House has been managed by Joy Collinson for 17 years. The B&B offers a comfortable stay with newly refurbished bedrooms in sea colours in keeping with its setting looking out over Newlyn Harbour.

The guest house offers friendly accommodation for travellers looking for a quiet escape at the best prices. Harbour View is a traditional Cornish house built circa 1850. The B&B is friendly, quirky, comfortable and has all the amenities you would want in a guest house. There are special offers for longer stays. Newlyn is a commercial fishing community in West Cornwall and has a rich cultural and artistic heritage.

In its time, Harbour View Guest House has been a boot makers shop, a post office, a Penzance hotel, a tearoom, restaurant and is now a guest house. You can sit in your room and read, paint or just watch the bustling harbour activity before you.

We are situated between Penzance and Mousehole in south-west Cornwall - 10 miles from Land's End, St Ives, 8 from Sennen Cove, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre. Overlooking St Michael's Mount, historic Newlyn harbour has been in existence for hundreds of years and has been an active port since at least the 1400s.

The Harbour has been expanded over time during the 1880s the huge jetties that now enclose the harbour. Today Newlyn is the largest fishing port in terms of fish landed in the whole of England and Wales and is home to a fleet today of over 200 vessels. The lifeboat departs from here. Guests can experience the harbour first hand with the piers and fleet all within easy walking distance from the guest house. The harbour supports a bustling local community with numerous restaurants, pubs, cafes and art galleries close by. Newlyn village, with lots more shops, is 300 yards down the road.
